I hope everyone made it through The Great Blizzard of 2025! Err, at least made it through the first Great Blizzard of 2025! The big story this week is, of course, the Council's vote tonight on whether to amend the zoning code provisions regarding sidewalk infill requirements for very large home additions. I took some time to once again update the story below with the latest updates, so make sure to check that out. Then, once you're done, make sure to email the city clerk (ascheLB@kirkwoodmo.org) or the council members directly (here) to let them know you oppose such a change. This vote is on a knife's edge so a quick email or two really could make a difference!

Update 01/03/2024: The Council was supposed to vote on this zoning text amendment their last meeting of 2024. Instead, CM McLean moved to continue the item to the Council's January 9th meeting. - A huge shoutout to the staff of Peacemaker/4Hands for being seemingly the only place open on Monday. It's really nice advertisement for urbanism that people living in Downtown Kirkwood were able to walk over and have a beer on a snow day and it wouldn't be possible without you (and the hardworking Kirkwood streets snow removal team!)
- There was exciting news on page 2 of the December 5th City Council Work session minutes that the city plans to apply for a STP grant to fund significant safety improvements on Argonne from Taylor all the way to the Community Center at Kirkwood Par. More details to come!
